People Are Getting Sick
"The company has NOT studied health effects, (Southern California Edison's Ken) Devore said, but the communications system runs within Federal Communications Commission standards." Unbelievable. --- O.C. Residents Fight Edison Digital Meter Installation OC Register, Sept. 29, 2011
Former CPUC President Peevey admits that people are sick from the Smart Meters. He emailed: "I would let anyone who wants to keep their old meter keep it, if they claim they suffer from EMF and/or related electronic-related illnesses and they can produce a doctor’s letter saying so (or expressing concern about the likelihood of suffering same). I would institute such a policy quietly and solely on an individual basis. There really are people who feel pain, etc., related to EMF,etc., and rather than have them becoming hysterical, etc., I would quietly leave them alone."
An overwhelming number of testimonies are pouring into various anti-Smart Meter websites regarding people complaining of serious health problems following the installation of Smart Meter on their home.
Studies say that 3 percent of the population are suffering extreme sensitivities to electromagnetic radiation with estimated 35 percent of population have a mild sensitivity.
Symptoms include headache, ringing in the ears, nausea, inability to sleep, confusion, vertigo, heart palpitations, rashes, confusion, nose bleeds, fatigue, muscle spasms, hyperactivity, anxiety, hair loss, digestive problems, tingling, numbness, itching, night sweats, etc.
It is projected that by the year 2017 nearly half of the population will feel the effects of this radiation.
If you are having health problems related to the installation of Smart Meters please, if you live in California, FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE CPUC.

Stories From People Harmed
We've included several videos here to demonstrate suffering that is occurring after Smart Meter installation. These are only a few examples and there are thousands all over the world.
EMF Safety Network website has a compilation of health complaints that grows daily.
Those reporting health problems seem to occur when the Smart Meter is too close to a person for a sustained period of time (i.e., on a bedroom wall) or in bank situations when there are multiple meters (i.e., apartment/condos). Of course, time exposure, gender, age, and health status are factors as well.
By the way, these meters never turn off. They constantly transmit up to over 10,000 times per day of pulsed microwaves. SCE claims the Smart Meter only pulses for 45 seconds per day. That could be true as the pulses are in micro-bursts ever few seconds which over a 24 hour period adds up to only 45 seconds. This is how SCE is able to provide the customer with real-time data usage.
Just like the cell phone industry, it is just a matter of time when enough people get sick or die in Smart Meter-related fires and sue Smart Meter manufacturers, cities that allowed installation, the CPUC and any other entity that went forward with this faulty scheme. Already there is a push back with insurance agencies on liability coverage.
- Susan Brinchman of La Mesa wrote here compelling story of how her entire life has changed with the installation of a Smart Meter on her home
- Forced to move out of their apartment/condo situations where they were unlucky enough to share a wall with a bank of meters,
- A physician sickened by living above a bank of meters,
- People living out of their cars and not being able to return home,
- People becoming sensitive to electromagnetic fields after constant exposure to a RF radiation (Are you electro-sensitive?),
- Elderly having health problems,
- Families choosing to reduce their EMF exposure,
- A couple with a baby that live above a bank of 8 smart meters. Their baby wakes up every night since the smart meter was installed holding his head and crying.

This is inhumane.
Pacemakers Effected By Pulsed RF
A pacemaker recipient describes his personal experiences with the hazard of Smart Meter electromagnetic radiation "leakage" interfering with his heart, his pacemaker and his life.

Nose Bleeds From Bank of Meters
After dozens of Smart Meters were installed on the wall of her apartment, Rosa began suffering from extreme nose bleeds.
As a Holocaust survivor, Rosa P. brought "her blood-soaked nightgown to the meeting in a plastic bag, and placed it on the overhead projector, to show SMUD directors what effect smart meter radiation is having on her life. The macabre show and tell had its desired effect. As Rosa’s bloodied nightgown filled the screen, the blood drained from the faces of the board members." --- Stop Smart Meters! (Feb. 2013) |

San Clemente Seeks Info on Smart Meters: Sandi Aders, of San Clemente, stands next to the electric meters currently installed at her apartment complex. SDG&E is planning on installing smart meters that Aders says has given her health problems when she has lived near them in the past.--- Orange County Register, Aug. 2013
